I am experienced in providing therapy to people from a wide variety of social backgrounds and cultures. My particular areas of expertise are as follows:
I work at Kairos, an addictions treatment centre in South London, and I am a sessional therapist for the Priory hospital. Previously, I worked as a company commercial solicitor. I therefore understand the pressures that a demanding career imposes. I have an MSc in the psychology of addiction and counselling and a post-graduate diploma in the psychodynamics of human development. I have been trained in post-induction therapy by Pia Mellody and am a member of the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners.
At our first session, an assessment will be made of your presenting needs and issues. There will then be a chance to discuss together the best way forward. This will sometimes involve me suggesting that a different form of therapy or treatment may be better suited to you.
